Southwest Edmonton Area Councils
Terwillegar Riverbend Area Council (TRAC)
TRAC’s mission is to “enhance the quality of life through neighbourhood representation with a unified voice speaking to the common interests of home, school, recreation and assembly by creating a ‘towne within a city’.”
TRAC’s focus has been on the development of the Southwest Community Recreation Centre and of Terwillegar Park, as well as on neighbourhood security issues and area transportation concerns.

Southwest Area Council (SWAC)
The mandate of the Southwest Area Council (SWAC) is to enhance recreational facilities and opportunities for residents of southwest Edmonton and to be venue for civic action and the sharing of information and ideas between its community leagues.
SWAC represents the community leagues in southwest Edmonton including: Aspen Gardens, Blue Quill, Brookview, Duggan, Ermineskin, Greater Windermere, Greenfield, Malmo, Lansdowne, Ogilvie Ridge, Riverbend, Royal Gardens, The Ridge, Riverbend, Terwillegar, Twin Brooks and Yellowbird. This will also include any new community league formed in southwest Edmonton (south of 51 Avenue and west of 104 Street).
The council meets up to four times a year.
Recent areas of focus for the council includes:
- Kaskitayo Skateboard Park
- Heritage Mall Redevelopment (Century Park)
